Seán Cronin (rugby union)

Seán Cronin (born 5 May 1986) is an Irish former rugby union player. He primarily played as a hooker.

Cronin played professionally for Leinster Rugby in the United Rugby Championship and European Rugby Champions Cup. He also represented Ireland at international level, earning over 70 caps.

Known for his dynamism, pace, and powerful carrying ability, Cronin was considered one of the most athletic hookers in the game. He was a key member of the Leinster team that enjoyed significant success in the 2010s, winning multiple league and European titles.

Cronin made his debut for Ireland in 2009 and was a regular member of the squad for many years. He participated in the 2011, 2015, and 2019 Rugby World Cups. He retired from professional rugby in 2022.
