Matt Wilkinson (surfer)

Matt Wilkinson (born September 29, 1988) is an Australian professional surfer.

Wilkinson, often nicknamed "Wilko," is known for his unpredictable and innovative surfing style, as well as his distinctive bleached blonde hair. He competes on the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour, where he has achieved significant success, including multiple event wins.

Throughout his career, Wilkinson has been recognized for his progressive maneuvers and willingness to take risks. He gained notoriety for his strong backhand attack and ability to perform well in a variety of wave conditions.

Wilkinson has consistently ranked among the top surfers in the world, contending for the world title on several occasions. He retired from professional surfing in 2021.
