Długosz House (Sandomierz)
The Długosz House is a Gothic building located in Sandomierz, Poland. It is named after Jan Długosz, a prominent Polish historian and diplomat of the 15th century, who funded its construction in 1476. The house served as a dormitory for impoverished students of the Sandomierz collegiate church. It is considered one of the best-preserved examples of Gothic residential architecture in Poland.
Today, the Długosz House serves as a branch of the Sandomierz District Museum. Its exhibits focus primarily on the history and culture of Sandomierz and the surrounding region. It houses collections of historical artifacts, including archaeological finds, medieval art, and displays showcasing the rich heritage of the city.
