Remember Me (video game)

Remember Me is a science fiction action-adventure video game developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Capcom. It was released in June 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

The game is set in Neo-Paris in 2084, a city where memories can be digitized, bought, sold, and traded. Players control Nilin, a former memory hunter ("Errorist") who possesses the unique ability to remix people's memories. At the beginning of the game, Nilin's own memories are erased. She is contacted by Edge, the leader of the Errorists, who tasks her with destroying Memorize, the corporation that controls memory technology.

Gameplay focuses on melee combat, puzzle solving, and memory remixing sequences. Combat is based around a customizable "Pressen" system, allowing players to create their own combo chains with different effects. Memory remixing involves altering key moments in a target's memory to change their perception and behavior.

The narrative explores themes of memory, identity, corporate control, and social inequality. Remember Me received mixed reviews upon release, with praise for its unique setting and memory remixing mechanic, but criticism for its combat and linear gameplay.
