Sandy Creek is a civil township located in Osceola County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 698.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.8 square miles (92.7 km2), of which 35.5 square miles (91.9 km2) is land and 0.3 square miles (0.8 km2), or 0.84%, is water.

Government
Sandy Creek Township is governed by a township board consisting of a supervisor, clerk, treasurer, and two trustees. The board is responsible for enacting local ordinances, approving budgets, and overseeing township services.
History
Sandy Creek Township was established in the late 19th century, primarily as a lumbering community. The Muskegon River runs through the township and was instrumental in transporting logs to sawmills downstream. As the lumber industry declined, agriculture became a more prominent part of the local economy.
