Saint Jude (band)
Saint Jude was a British rock band formed in London in 2005. The band's music drew influence from classic rock, blues, and country, and they were known for their energetic live performances.
The original lineup consisted of Lynne Jackaman (vocals), Ben Hillyer (guitar), Pete Hurley (bass), and Jon Bonham (drums, son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham). The band released their debut album, Diary, in 2010 on the V2 Records label. The album received positive reviews, and the band toured extensively in support of it, including performances at major festivals.
Prior to the release of Diary, Saint Jude released several EPs and gained a following through live shows and online presence. Their sound evolved over time, incorporating elements of soul and Americana into their rock foundation.
Following the release of Diary, the band underwent lineup changes. Bonham eventually left and was replaced by other drummers. Despite these changes, Saint Jude continued to tour and write new material.
Lead vocalist Lynne Jackaman embarked on a solo career in later years, releasing her debut solo album No Halo in 2017. Sadly, Lynne Jackaman passed away in 2020. The remaining members have since pursued other musical projects. Although Saint Jude is no longer actively performing, their music and Lynne Jackaman's powerful vocals continue to be appreciated by fans.
