Forest Hall railway station (Blyth and Tyne Railway)

Forest Hall railway station was a railway station located in Forest Hall, Northumberland, England, on the Blyth and Tyne Railway. It served the village and surrounding area between its opening in 1864 and its closure to passengers in 1964.

The station was situated on the main line of the Blyth and Tyne Railway, which connected Blyth with Newcastle upon Tyne. The Blyth and Tyne Railway was absorbed by the North Eastern Railway in 1874. The station provided services to Newcastle, Blyth, and other destinations along the line.

The station consisted of two platforms, a station building, and a goods yard. The station building included a booking office, waiting rooms, and stationmaster's accommodation. The goods yard was used for handling goods traffic, including coal, timber, and agricultural products.

Passenger services at Forest Hall were withdrawn as part of the Beeching cuts in 1964. The line through the station remained open for freight traffic until the late 1990s. The station building was later demolished, and the site has since been redeveloped. Today, little remains of the former station.
