Tatra 20

The Tatra 20 was a small passenger car produced by the Czech automobile manufacturer Tatra from 1925 to 1929. It was the first model in Tatra's line of small, affordable cars designed for mass production. Also known as the "Type 20," it was designed by Hans Ledwinka and based on his earlier work with the Steyr company. The Tatra 20 featured a two-cylinder, air-cooled engine, typically with a displacement around 1056 cc. The engine was mounted at the front of the car, driving the rear wheels. The body was usually a two-seater roadster or a closed saloon. It represented an effort to make automobile ownership accessible to a wider segment of the population in Czechoslovakia. Production numbers were significant for the time, helping establish Tatra as a major automotive brand.
