Rusper
Rusper is a village and civil parish in the Horsham District of West Sussex, England. It is located approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) southwest of Crawley and 6 miles (9.7 km) northwest of Horsham.
The name Rusper is believed to be derived from the Old English hrispera, meaning "thicket of rushes". The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Ruspere.
Rusper is a small rural community with a population of around 1,500. The parish church is dedicated to St Mary Magdalene and dates back to the 12th century, with later additions and restorations. Other notable features of the village include Rusper Golf Club, a number of historic houses, and surrounding farmland.
