Roger Thomas (British politician)
Roger Thomas (born 29 October 1947) is a Welsh Labour politician. He served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Wales from 1989 to 1994.
Thomas was educated at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Carmarthen, and University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, where he obtained a BSc in Agriculture.
Prior to entering politics at the European level, he worked as a farmer. He became involved in local politics, serving as a Carmarthenshire County Councillor.
As an MEP, Thomas sat with the Socialist Group in the European Parliament. He was involved in various committees and focused primarily on agricultural and rural affairs.
After leaving the European Parliament in 1994, he continued his involvement in local politics and community activities in Wales.
