James Bye (footballer)

James Bye is a retired Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by West Coast in the 1990 AFL Draft and made his debut in 1992. A key defender, Bye was known for his strong marking and reliable disposal. He played a significant role in West Coast's premiership-winning teams of 1992 and 1994. He retired from the AFL at the end of the 1996 season.
