Lamont Jones (basketball, born 1972)
Lamont Jones (born April 10, 1972) is a retired American professional basketball player. A 6'2" (1.88 m) guard, Jones played college basketball at the University of Maryland. After a successful collegiate career, he was drafted by the Miami Heat in the second round (35th overall) of the 1994 NBA draft. He played one season in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers, appearing in 35 games during the 1994-95 season and averaging 2.6 points per game. Following his NBA stint, Jones played professionally in various international leagues, including in Europe and South America. His professional career spanned several years after his single season in the NBA.
