Sikorsky (crater)

Sikorsky is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the northwest of the larger crater Von Karman, within the Mare Ingenii impact basin. To the southwest of Sikorsky is Oort, and to the northeast lies Priestley.

This crater is a relatively well-defined feature with a sharp, somewhat eroded rim. The inner walls are terraced and slope down to a relatively flat interior floor. A small, central peak is located near the midpoint of the crater floor. A few tiny craterlets lie along the inner walls and on the floor. The outer ramparts of Sikorsky overlay the edge of the Mare Ingenii.
