Robert King (writer)

Robert King is an American television writer and producer, best known for his work alongside his wife, Michelle King. Together, they created and served as showrunners for the critically acclaimed CBS legal and political drama The Good Wife, which ran for seven seasons (2009-2016). They also co-created its spin-off, The Good Fight, which airs on Paramount+ and premiered in 2017, continuing the narrative and exploring contemporary social and political issues.

King's other notable television credits include co-creating BrainDead (2016) and Evil (2019), both with Michelle King. He often collaborates with his wife on projects that blend legal, political, and supernatural elements, exploring complex characters and thought-provoking themes. His writing often incorporates sharp wit, social commentary, and intricate plotlines. Prior to his work in television, King worked as a lawyer, experience which undoubtedly informs his writing, particularly within the legal dramas he is known for.
