Hero Factory (TV series)
Hero Factory (TV series) is a CGI animated television series that ran from 2010 to 2014. Based on the Lego construction toy line of the same name, the series follows the adventures of a team of heroic robots known as the Hero Factory, who are tasked with maintaining peace and order throughout the galaxy by capturing criminals and protecting citizens.
The series primarily aired on Nickelodeon and online through the Lego website. Each episode typically focused on a specific mission undertaken by one or more of the Hero Factory team members. The overarching plot generally involved battling various villainous factions and figures who posed a threat to galactic safety.
Key characters include the core Hero Factory team: Preston Stormer (the seasoned leader), William Furno (the young and eager rookie), Mark Surge, Jimi Stringer, Natalie Breez, and Duncan Bulk. These heroes are supported by the Hero Factory's mission control, led by Nathaniel Zib. Villains throughout the series included Von Nebula, the Witch Doctor, Black Phantom, and the Brain Attack invaders.
The series was aimed at a younger audience and featured action-oriented storylines with an emphasis on teamwork, problem-solving, and bravery. The animation style utilized detailed CGI to portray the Lego characters and environments. Though its run was relatively short, the Hero Factory TV series expanded the lore and provided further context for the popular Lego toy line. The series ended with the discontinuation of the Hero Factory toy line in 2014.
