Robert Damron (politician)

Robert Damron is an American politician from Kentucky. He served as a Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 39, which encompasses Washington County and portions of Marion and Nelson counties. He was first elected to the seat in 2002 and served until his defeat in 2016.

During his time in the Kentucky House, Damron served on various committees, including but not limited to, the Agriculture and Small Business Committee, the Education Committee, and the Transportation Committee. He was known for his focus on rural issues, including agriculture, education, and infrastructure.

Damron unsuccessfully ran for re-election in 2016, losing to Republican candidate Chad McCoy. Since leaving the legislature, he has remained involved in local community activities.
