Richard Britton (athlete)
Richard Britton (born in Salford, England) is a former British track and field athlete who specialized in the 400 metres hurdles. He represented Great Britain at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, reaching the semi-finals. Britton also competed at the World Championships in Athletics on multiple occasions. He achieved significant success at the national level, winning the British Athletics Championships title in the 400 metres hurdles in 1996. Britton was known for his strong finish and aggressive racing style. After retiring from competitive athletics, he remained involved in the sport through coaching.
