Rein Kask

Rein Kask (born August 19, 1938) is an Estonian computer scientist, particularly known for his contributions to programming language development and compiler construction. He received his degree in mathematics from the University of Tartu. His research has focused on formal languages, automata theory, and compiler technology. Kask is a professor emeritus at the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Tartu, where he has mentored numerous students and researchers in the field of programming languages. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications on topics such as attribute grammars, code optimization, and compiler design. His work has been influential in the development of practical compiler construction techniques.
