Red Light (David Nail song)
"Red Light" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist David Nail. It was released in January 2010 as the second single from his album I'm About to Come Alive.
The song is a mid-tempo ballad where the narrator reflects on memories of a past relationship triggered by seeing a red light at an intersection. The red light acts as a metaphor for the relationship having come to a halt.
Nail co-wrote the song with Jonathan Singleton and Melissa Peirce. It was produced by Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke.
"Red Light" was Nail's first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, peaking at number 7 in September 2010. It also reached number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100.
A music video for the song, directed by Chris Hicky, was released in 2010.
