Jonquière (provincial electoral district)
Jonquière is a provincial electoral district in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region of Quebec, Canada. It elects one member to the National Assembly of Quebec.
Created for the 1966 election, it initially comprised the city of Jonquière, Quebec. In 2001, the cities of Jonquière, Chicoutimi, La Baie and Laterrière merged to form the new city of Saguenay. The electoral district now encompasses part of the city of Saguenay, specifically the Jonquière borough.
Historically, the riding has been held by both the Parti Québécois and the Liberal Party, reflecting the political diversity of the region.
