Red Cross Medal (Oldenburg)

The Red Cross Medal (Oldenburg) was a civil decoration of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg, awarded for services to the Red Cross. It was established on September 15, 1909, by Grand Duke Friedrich August II to recognize individuals who had made significant contributions to the organization and its humanitarian work within the territory of Oldenburg.

The medal was awarded in several classes, typically a silver medal and a bronze medal. Further distinctions could be indicated through the addition of a crown above the medal. The criteria for awarding the medal were based on the nature and duration of the services rendered. The medal was worn on the left breast. The statutes governing the award and its classes could be revised throughout its period of issue, reflecting changes within the Oldenburg Red Cross organization and its priorities.

With the end of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg in 1918, the Red Cross Medal (Oldenburg) ceased to be awarded.
