Raw Deal (1986 film)
Raw Deal is a 1986 American action film directed by John Irvin and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kathryn Harrold, Darren McGavin, and Sam Wanamaker. Schwarzenegger plays Mark Kaminsky, an ex-FBI agent forced to go undercover in the Chicago Mafia to infiltrate and destroy a powerful crime syndicate led by Luigi Patrovita (Sam Wanamaker). Kaminsky assumes the identity of Joseph P. Brenner, a disgraced ex-convict, to accomplish his mission.
The film follows Kaminsky's dangerous journey as he navigates the treacherous world of organized crime, dealing with corrupt law enforcement, double-crosses, and intense action sequences. He is aided by Monique (Kathryn Harrold), a woman with her own motivations for bringing down Patrovita.
Raw Deal is known for its high-octane action, explosions, and Schwarzenegger's signature one-liners. It received mixed reviews upon its release but has since gained a cult following amongst fans of action cinema. The screenplay was written by Luciano Vincenzoni and Sergio Donati (story) and Norman Wexler and Steven Pressfield (screenplay).
