Ralph James (actor)
Ralph James (1924 – 1992) was a Canadian actor best known for his extensive voice work in animation and his character roles in television and film. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, James began his acting career in radio drama before transitioning to television and film.
His most recognized role was as the voice of Mr. Turtle in the Clutch Cargo animated series, known for its limited animation. He also provided voices for numerous other animated productions, including roles in Spider-Man (as Doctor Octopus), Rocket Robin Hood, and The Marvel Super Heroes.
In addition to his voice work, James appeared in live-action roles in Canadian and American television series, often portraying authority figures or character roles. He had guest appearances on shows such as The Twilight Zone, The Littlest Hobo, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He also acted in films such as Face-Off and The Neptune Factor.
