Raiano
Raiano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It is located in the Peligna Valley, near the Sagittario River. Raiano is known for its production of confetti (sugar-coated almonds) and is part of the Comunità Montana Peligna (Peligna Mountain Community). The economy is largely based on agriculture, small industry, and tourism related to its historical and natural attractions. Historically, the area was inhabited since Roman times, and the town itself developed during the Middle Ages.
