Pomme (singer)

Pomme, whose full name is Claire Pommet (born August 2, 1996), is a French singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. She is known for her distinctive voice, poetic lyrics, and introspective themes often centered around love, relationships, nature, and personal experiences.

Pomme began learning music at a young age, initially studying cello and later moving to the guitar. She independently released her debut EP, En cavale, in 2015. Her debut studio album, À peu près, was released in 2017 and received critical acclaim for its delicate melodies and heartfelt songwriting.

She achieved wider recognition with her second album, Les failles, released in 2019. This album further explored themes of vulnerability and featured more sophisticated production. In 2020, Les failles cachées (les sessions lacustres), a reinterpretation of Les failles recorded by a lake, was released.

Her third album, consolation, released in 2022, marked a shift towards more electronic and experimental sounds while maintaining her signature lyrical depth. The album explored themes of grief, healing, and the passage of time.

Pomme has been the recipient of several awards, including the Victoires de la Musique award for Album révélation in 2020 for Les failles. She is a prominent figure in the French music scene and has toured extensively both in France and internationally. She also advocates for LGBTQ+ rights and environmental awareness.
