Nexus 5X

The Nexus 5X was a smartphone co-developed by Google and LG Electronics as part of the Google Nexus line. It was announced on September 29, 2015, alongside the Nexus 6P, and released in October 2015.

The Nexus 5X featured a 5.2-inch 1080p LCD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. It ran Android 6.0 Marshmallow at launch and received updates up to Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone also included a 12.3MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Key features of the Nexus 5X included a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor (Nexus Imprint), a USB Type-C port, and quick charging capabilities. It was offered in three colors: Carbon (black), Quartz (white), and Ice (light blue). The device was notable for its relatively affordable price point compared to other flagship smartphones at the time, while still offering a clean Android experience and guaranteed software updates directly from Google.

The Nexus 5X, along with the Nexus 6P, were the last devices released under the Nexus branding before Google transitioned to the Pixel line of smartphones. The phone experienced some reported hardware issues, most notably bootlooping problems caused by hardware failure.
