Foreign Intrigue (film)

Foreign Intrigue is a 1956 American film noir mystery film directed by Sheldon Reynolds, starring Robert Mitchum and Geneviève Page. The film's screenplay was written by Reynolds and Harold J. Bloom, based on Reynolds' own story.

The plot centers around Victor Danemore (Robert Mitchum), a press agent working for the wealthy, enigmatic, and recently deceased industrialist, Charles Baukens. Tasked with writing Baukens' biography, Danemore travels across Europe, investigating Baukens' past and the circumstances surrounding his death. As he delves deeper, he uncovers a web of secrets, lies, and potential criminal activity, realizing that Baukens was not who he appeared to be.

Along his investigation, Danemore encounters Dominique (Geneviève Page), a woman with a connection to Baukens, and becomes increasingly suspicious of her involvement. He navigates a complex landscape of international intrigue, facing danger and deception as he seeks the truth behind Baukens' life and death.
