Peter Williams (Australian cricketer)
Peter Williams (born 26 November 1954) is a former Australian cricketer who played first-class cricket for South Australia and Tasmania. A right-handed batsman, he was known for his aggressive style and solid defensive technique.
Williams made his first-class debut for South Australia in the 1976/77 season. He played for South Australia until the 1981/82 season, scoring several centuries and establishing himself as a consistent performer in the top order.
In the 1982/83 season, Williams moved to Tasmania. He continued his first-class career with Tasmania until his retirement in 1986/87. While playing for Tasmania, he also served as captain.
Although he was a successful first-class cricketer, Williams never represented Australia at the international level. However, he remains a respected figure in Australian cricket history.
