Peter McDermott (cyclist)
Peter McDermott (born circa 1940) is a former Irish cyclist. He was a prominent amateur cyclist in Ireland during the 1960s and 1970s.
McDermott is best known for representing Ireland in the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. He competed in the Individual Road Race event, finishing 69th. He also competed in the 100km Team Time Trial.
Throughout his career, McDermott achieved notable success in Irish cycling competitions, including multiple stage wins and high finishes in the Rás Tailteann, Ireland's premier stage race.
