Peter Bowers (Australian journalist)

Peter Bowers (1920 – 2003) was an influential Australian political journalist and commentator. He was best known for his long career with the Sydney Morning Herald, where he served as chief political correspondent for over three decades. Bowers was renowned for his insightful analysis, balanced reporting, and deep understanding of Australian politics.

Born in Victoria, Bowers began his journalism career after serving in World War II.
