Pelagio Luna
Pelagio Luna (born November 21, 1867, in La Rioja, Argentina; died June 24, 1919, in Buenos Aires, Argentina) was an Argentine lawyer, politician, and Vice President of Argentina.
Luna served as a national deputy for La Rioja Province on multiple occasions. He was a prominent figure in the Radical Civic Union (UCR) and a close associate of President Hipólito Yrigoyen. He was elected Vice President in 1916, serving alongside Yrigoyen. Luna's tenure as Vice President was marked by political tension and opposition to Yrigoyen's policies within certain factions of the UCR. He also served as President of the Senate during his vice presidency. Luna died in office in 1919.
