Tielt (Chamber of Representatives constituency)

The constituency of Tielt was a former electoral district in Belgium used to elect members of the Chamber of Representatives. It existed from 1831 to 1900. Located in the province of West Flanders, it was one of the original constituencies created after the Belgian Revolution.

Throughout its existence, Tielt generally elected members from the Catholic Party. The constituency was abolished in 1900 as part of a broader reform of the electoral system which saw the introduction of proportional representation. The area previously covered by the Tielt constituency was then largely incorporated into larger constituencies such as Roeselare-Tielt. The constituency represented a rural and agricultural area.
