Pearl (drag queen)

Pearl is the stage name of Matthew James Lent, an American drag queen, record producer, DJ, and performance artist. Pearl is best known for competing on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race, where she finished as a runner-up.

Early Life and Career:

Matthew James Lent was born in Sandusky, Ohio. Prior to drag, Lent worked as a makeup artist in Chicago. The Pearl persona was developed in Brooklyn, New York.

RuPaul's Drag Race:

Pearl competed on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2015. Initially portrayed as aloof and uninterested, she garnered attention for her "sleeping" challenges and unique aesthetic. Her catchphrase from the show was "Do I have something on my face?". She ultimately reached the finale alongside Violet Chachki and Ginger Minj. Violet Chachki won the season.

Post-Drag Race Career:

Following RuPaul's Drag Race, Pearl has maintained a career as a DJ, record producer, and performer. She has released music under the name Pearl, including the album "Pleasure". She continues to tour and perform at drag events around the world.
