Paul Wall

Paul Wall (born Paul Slayton on March 30, 1981) is an American rapper, DJ, promoter, and jeweler. He is a significant figure in the Houston hip hop scene and is known for his contributions to the style and culture of the genre in that region, particularly during the mid-2000s.

Wall rose to prominence as part of the duo The Color Changin' Click, alongside Chamillionaire. The pair released several albums independently before pursuing solo careers. His solo debut album, The People's Champ, was released in 2005 and achieved commercial success, spawning the hit single "Sittin' Sidewayz."

Beyond his musical career, Paul Wall is also known for his entrepreneurial ventures, including his custom grill business, which provides dental jewelry to a wide clientele, including other rappers and celebrities. He has also been involved in various promotional and marketing activities within the hip hop community. His work has helped solidify Houston's place in the national hip hop landscape.
