Patrick Meehan (producer)
Patrick Meehan was a music producer and manager, primarily known for his association with the British rock band Black Sabbath during their early and commercially successful years. He co-managed Black Sabbath alongside Tony Hall from 1973 until 1979.
Meehan's role involved overseeing the band's business affairs, negotiating record contracts, and managing their finances. During his tenure, Black Sabbath released albums such as "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath," "Sabotage," "Technical Ecstasy," and "Never Say Die!". These albums, while commercially successful, also marked a period of increasing internal strife within the band.
Following his management of Black Sabbath, Meehan managed other musical acts, though none achieved the same level of success. He later became involved in legal disputes regarding royalties and management fees associated with his time with Black Sabbath. These disputes involved both the band members and other management figures. The specifics of these legal battles remain a part of Black Sabbath's history and continue to be a topic of discussion among fans and music historians.
