Password (game)

Password is a word association game, typically played between two teams of two players each. The core gameplay involves one player on each team attempting to get their partner to guess a secret "password" by providing single-word clues.

The game proceeds as follows: one player on a team is designated as the "cluer" and the other as the "guesser." The cluer sees the password and must provide a single-word clue to help their partner guess the password. The guesser then has one opportunity to guess the password. If the guess is correct, the team scores a point. If the guess is incorrect or if the cluer breaks the rules (such as giving a clue that is more than one word), the other team gets a chance to guess the password, receiving a clue from their cluer first.

Gameplay alternates between the two teams until one team correctly guesses the password. Multiple rounds are played, using different passwords, with the team that accumulates the most points winning the game.

The challenge of Password lies in selecting clues that are suggestive of the password without being too obvious, while also avoiding clues that could mislead the guesser. The game requires creativity, quick thinking, and an understanding of word associations.
