Pam Resor
Pam Resor (born August 27, 1942) is an American Republican politician and former businesswoman from the state of Vermont. She served as the 75th Lieutenant Governor of Vermont from 1991 to 1997, the second woman to hold that office.
Resor graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in English. Prior to entering politics, she held various positions in business, including real estate and insurance.
Her political career began at the local level, serving on the town select board in Pownal, Vermont. She then served in the Vermont House of Representatives before being elected Lieutenant Governor.
As Lieutenant Governor, Resor presided over the Vermont State Senate and served as acting governor when the Governor was out of state. She focused on issues related to economic development, education, and environmental protection. After leaving office, she remained active in civic affairs.
