Padbol
Padbol is a sport that combines elements of padel tennis and football (soccer). It is played on an enclosed court, typically made of concrete or synthetic materials, with glass walls similar to a padel tennis court, but with smaller dimensions.
The objective of Padbol is to score points by making the ball bounce twice in the opponent's court after it has been hit with any part of the body except the hands and arms (similar to football/soccer). Players can use their feet, head, chest, and thighs to control and propel the ball. The walls of the court can be used to continue the play, adding a strategic and dynamic element to the game.
Padbol is usually played in doubles, with two players on each team. The serve is performed underhand, bouncing the ball once before striking it with the foot. Points are scored when the ball bounces twice in the opponent's court, or when the opponent commits a fault (e.g., hitting the ball with their hand/arm, failing to return the ball before it bounces twice, or hitting the ball out of bounds).
The sport has gained popularity in several countries, primarily in South America and Europe, and is governed by international organizations that regulate the rules and promote its development. Padbol aims to offer a blend of the technical skills of football with the tactical play and enclosed environment of padel, resulting in a fast-paced and engaging sporting experience.
