Al-Ashmus

Al-Ashmus is a figure in Islamic demonology and folklore. He is described as a devil (shaytan) whose specific domain is to inflict worries, despondency, and sadness upon people. He is sometimes mentioned in conjunction with other prominent devils in Islamic tradition, operating under the command of Iblis (Satan) to lead humans astray.
