Overboard (2018 film)

Overboard is a 2018 American romantic comedy film directed by Rob Greenberg, and co-written by Greenberg, Bob Fisher, and Leslie Dixon. It is a remake of the 1987 film of the same name, which starred Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. The 2018 version stars Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbez.

The film follows a struggling single mother, Kate Sullivan (Faris), who works multiple jobs to support her three daughters. She is hired to clean the yacht of Leonardo Montenegro (Derbez), a wealthy and spoiled Mexican playboy. Leonardo refuses to pay Kate and treats her with disdain. Later, Leonardo falls overboard and suffers amnesia. Kate, recognizing an opportunity, convinces him that he is her husband and the father of her children as revenge for his mistreatment.
