Patrick Duffy (bishop)

Patrick Duffy (born 22 December 1941) is an Irish Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Clogher from 2010 to 2019.

Duffy was born in Drumacrib, County Monaghan, Ireland. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Clogher on 16 June 1968. Prior to his appointment as bishop, he served as a teacher and school principal at St Macartan's College, Monaghan. He later worked as a diocesan secretary and then as administrator of the Cathedral Parish in Monaghan.

He was appointed Bishop of Clogher by Pope Benedict XVI on 7 May 2010 and was consecrated on 18 July 2010. His principal consecrator was Cardinal Seán Brady, Archbishop of Armagh, and his co-consecrators were Archbishop Giuseppe Leanza, Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, and Bishop Liam S. MacDaid, his predecessor as Bishop of Clogher.

Bishop Duffy retired as Bishop of Clogher on 1 October 2019 and was succeeded by Bishop Larry Duffy.
