Schwiesau

Schwiesau is a village and a former municipality in the district of Altmarkkreis Salzwedel, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the town Klötze. Schwiesau is located approximately 15 kilometers southeast of Klötze's town center. The area's economy is largely agricultural. The village features a church and a volunteer fire department. Historical records indicate a long history of settlement in the area.
