Otuz-Uul

Otuz-Uul is a village located in the Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is situated on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, east of Bokonbaevo. The name "Otuz-Uul" roughly translates to "thirty sons" or "thirty descendants" in Kyrgyz, possibly referencing a historical clan or community associated with the area.

Otuz-Uul is primarily an agricultural village, with residents engaged in livestock farming and crop cultivation. Tourism also plays a role in the local economy, with the proximity to Lake Issyk-Kul attracting visitors, particularly during the summer months.

The village serves as a base for exploring nearby natural attractions, including the Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon, also known as the "Valley of Fairy Tales," which is famous for its unusual sandstone formations sculpted by wind and water erosion.
