Otto Schulz (admiral)

Otto Schulz (1877-1945) was a German admiral in the Kriegsmarine during World War II.

Born on 20 April 1877, Schulz entered the Imperial German Navy in 1896. He served primarily in administrative and staff roles during World War I.

Between the wars, Schulz continued his career in the Reichsmarine. He specialized in personnel matters and rose through the ranks.

In 1939, with the outbreak of World War II, Schulz was appointed Chief of the Personnel Department of the Kriegsmarine (Chef des Marinepersonalamtes). He held this position throughout the war, responsible for personnel management, assignments, and promotions within the German Navy. He reached the rank of Admiral in 1942.

Schulz remained in his position until the end of the war. He died on 23 December 1945, in a Soviet special camp after being taken prisoner.
