Liva Weel

Liva Weel (December 31, 1897 – May 22, 1952) was a Danish singer and actress, best known for her recordings and performances of popular songs during the interwar period and World War II. She was a prominent figure in Danish entertainment, particularly within the revue genre.

Weel began her career in the theater, quickly gaining recognition for her comedic timing and vocal talent. Her repertoire included both lighthearted melodies and more emotionally resonant ballads. Her voice, described as clear and expressive, made her a beloved performer among Danish audiences.

Some of her most famous songs include "Jeg har elsket dig så længe" (I Have Loved You So Long), "Gå med i lunden" (Come Along to the Grove), and "Man binder os på mund og hånd" (They Bind Our Mouth and Hand).
