Zvërnec

Zvërnec is a small island located in the Narta Lagoon in Albania. It is connected to the mainland by a long wooden bridge. The island is known for its well-preserved 13th-14th century Byzantine monastery, the Monastery of Saint Mary (Manastiri i Shën Mërisë). The monastery is a popular tourist destination and is considered an important cultural monument in Albania. The surrounding lagoon is also an important ecological area, home to various bird species. The area around Zvërnec offers opportunities for birdwatching and other nature-based tourism activities. The island itself is small and can be easily explored on foot.
