Uya (river)
The Uya is a river in Russia, flowing through the Kemerovo Oblast. It is a left tributary of the Tom River.
The Uya's length is approximately 186 kilometers (116 miles). Its source is located in the Kuznetsk Alatau mountains. The river generally flows in a northwesterly direction through a heavily forested region.
The river is primarily fed by snowmelt and rainfall. It is typically frozen from late October or early November until late April or early May.
The Uya is sparsely populated along its banks. Its waters are used for local domestic and agricultural purposes. It's also used recreationally, mainly for fishing.
