Neve (British band)

Neve were a British indie rock band formed in 1998 in Manchester, England. The band consisted of brothers Richard and Gary Pickering, along with Andrew "Max" Maxfield and later James Brown.

The band garnered attention in the early 2000s with their melodic guitar-based sound, often compared to bands like The Stone Roses and Oasis. They signed to Mercury Records and released their debut album, Heavenly Sweetness, in 2000. The album spawned several singles, including "Alfie," which received significant airplay.

Neve toured extensively in support of Heavenly Sweetness, playing at various festivals and venues across the UK and Europe. Their music featured prominent guitar riffs, catchy choruses, and introspective lyrics, resonating with fans of Britpop and alternative rock.

The band released their second album, Another Day, in 2002. While the album continued to showcase their melodic sensibilities, it did not achieve the same commercial success as their debut. Following the release of Another Day, Neve eventually disbanded. The members have since pursued various other musical projects.
