Trevor Williams (baseball)

Trevor Williams is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Born May 25, 1992, Williams was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the second round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft out of Arizona State University. He began his MLB career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, debuting on September 7, 2016. He pitched for the Pirates through the 2020 season.

Following his time with the Pirates, Williams played for the Chicago Cubs in 2021 and the New York Mets in 2022. He signed with the Washington Nationals in 2023.

Throughout his career, Williams has been known for his groundball tendencies and relies on a variety of pitches, including a sinker, curveball, and changeup, to induce weak contact. He is primarily a starting pitcher but has also been utilized in relief roles.
