NGC 7503

NGC 7503 is a lenticular galaxy located approximately 230 million light-years away in the constellation Pegasus. It was discovered by Albert Marth on September 5, 1864. Lenticular galaxies, classified as S0 in the Hubble sequence, are intermediate between spiral and elliptical galaxies. They possess a bright central bulge like elliptical galaxies, but also have a disk-like structure, though lacking prominent spiral arms.

NGC 7503 is a relatively bright galaxy, with an apparent magnitude of approximately 12.7. Its angular size is around 1.4 by 1.0 arcminutes. Little detailed information is readily available regarding its internal structure or star formation activity. Like many lenticular galaxies, it is likely that star formation is significantly suppressed compared to spiral galaxies. Further research and observations would be needed to determine its precise properties and history. Its position in the sky is right ascension 23h 10m 19.6s and declination +07° 34' 56".
